All The Trimmings
As a self-declared foodie, as someone who loves to cook and bake, and as a bit of a glutton, I love Thanksgiving. I get to help cook a huge meal for my family and then I get to eat obscene amounts of delicious food and then the day after is full of awesome sales and then the Monday after is an online shopping extravaganza. I mean really, what more could a girl ask for in a holiday?
This Thanksgiving, my mom and I woke up to cook while watching the Macy's parade on TV and then we headed over to my grandma's house, turkey and accessories in tow. I then proceeded to eat way too much and promptly pass out on the couch. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself, although I don't think I've ever felt so overstuffed in my life and the food coma was a bit overwhelming. And of course one of the best things about living in Florida is the weather -- it was a sunny mid-70s kind of day, with a strong but bearable wind. Though it's warmer than usual up north in the city, it's still so relieving to not need a jacket and gloves.
(I wore a navy knit sleeveless halter sweater from Lilly Pulitzer, caramel-colored wide-leg Finders Keepers The Label pants, black and gold strappy Salvatore Ferragamo heels, a golden leaf necklace from Anthropologie, a gold chain link JCrew bracelet, and pearl earrings.)
