Romp Around Downtown
I've mentioned my love of jumpsuits, the all in one outfit, so it goes to reason I would also love a cute romper as well. This one is so much fun and has so much going on between the halter neck, colorful pattern, and flounced ruffled sleeves. I bought it for my trip to Mexico City, although as I'd mentioned, we got rained out the day that I wore it. So when Kate wanted to meet for lunch downtown on a sweltering NYC day I thought, "perfect, another chance to wear the romper!" We decided to check out the Bowery Market which I had somehow heard about and probably walked past many times but never tried. I had my usual Mona Lisa sandwich from Alidoro, the place I talked about in my favorite NYC Italian restaurants post that I would eat at all the time during lunch in midtown--they also have a location on Bowery. It was delicious and went well washed down with a soda. With the colorful market-like stalls, Jarrito's soda, and sweltering heat I almost felt like I was still in Mexico City. Just "almost" as we walked back towards the cobblestones on Bond St. and hopped back down into the sticky subway...
Thanks Kate for the photos!
