Like It Lake That
What’s more summery than a red striped wrap dress? I received a lot of compliments on this dress—it was quite the hit. Though I’m not sure if it’s because I was in Michigan and people are just generally friendlier there… No one in New York would ever dare compliment someone in public, or very rarely at least. Yet along the shores of Lake Michigan friendly people on the street smiled and said “I like your dress” as if this were a totally normal reaction. It’s just funny to appreciate how aloof New Yorkers are that such a simple kind moment seemed so surprising to me.
