Bright Sunshiney Day
While in Palm Beach it seems only natural I would wear some Lilly Pulitzer and when I saw this jumpsuit I fell madly in love. I used to be really into the bright and flashy Lilly prints, but as my style has evolved living in NYC all this time, I opt for some of the more subtle solid options. This jumpsuit is the perfect combination of that incredible preppy style, a subtle enough statement with the white lace, and a dash of chic glamour with the wide legs and cutout detail. The only dilemma I faced was how long the legs were and I wound up wearing sky-high wedges to make up for it and will soon be bringing it to a tailor to get hemmed. But totally worth it if you ask me.
On our second day in Palm Beach we spent our morning sipping coffee by the pool at The Colony Hotel, AKA the cutest hotel I think I've ever seen (vying with the Beverly Hills Hotel but winning for a more generous use of pink). We then headed to our brunch reservations at Cafe Bouloud, where we sat in the garden with mimosas at the ready as we ate some of the yummiest brunch food you can imagine. The parfait was perfectly portioned with an ideal ratio of granola, yogurt, and fruit (I'm big on ratios when I eat). The eggs in the omelette were some of the fluffiest you can imagine and the corn risotto was a balance of sweet and savory ideal for the middle ground that is brunch food. And we ended the meal with raspberry tarts that I was (almost) too full to eat. It was incredibly delectable. And after brunch? Bike rides around town on the cutest Lilly Pulitzer bikes that the Brazilian Court Hotel offers for its guests!
